Recently a successful TR-PPM optical transmission was made. This is a great achievement and another step closer to developing energy efficient data transmission schemes without a big data transmission speed compromise. As it can be seen from the picture above, at around 20 kilo-meters of optical cable was used in our setup during the experiment. The lowest BER values were achieved when using TR-PPM signal which structure consisted of a 50 ps pulse position duration, 200ps wide pulse and a frame length of 128 positions.
